Hello There,

I am a self taught, eclectic, disabled artist, I've always been creative from a young age.

When I was young I started to write short stories. When I was old enough I then became interested in learning how to play an instrument. I was always around music from my parents and grandparents.

I played organ, clarinet and loved it so much I then moved into learning how to play the tenor saxophone. I also learned how to play alto saxophone, and bass clarinet.

I loved to practice and each new thing I learned just pushed me more to get better and keep learning.

Sadly I can no longer play an instrument that ended when I became sick with Hodgkin's lymphoma stage 4a. I was given a 50% survival rating.

I've always had an interest in photography, though music was my first love.

I firmly believe in the saying when one door closes another one opens. I saw something online that I loved and thought I want to make that. I taught myself to sew. I saved and bought my first sewing machine with cash. By saving aluminum cans.
I went to a class that a friend was having on basic jewelry making and then taught myself to make jewelry.

I have many health problems the most severe being my lung diseases. Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, Interstinal lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis.

Epilepsy, myoclonus, meniere's disease, fibromyalgia, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, lymphedema, hypothyroid, depression
Body permitting I keep trying to be creative for I know someday I won't be able to.

I don't like to put myself into one specific genre of music and art.
I enjoy music composition ,photography, also mixed media, free verse poetry, writing short stories, textile art (quilting and sewing) , making jewelry, and graphic design.

I'm always asking myself the question What If? I am very inspired from nature, color and texture, fashion, and other artists.

Not being able to drive (due to epilepsy, and myoclouns) or go someplace unless my husband takes me can be very frustrating. Now I'm also dealing with hearing loss and that makes me feel more isolated at times. I do my best to cope with it all and my music and my art are my therapy!

I'm always open to collaborations, if you are intrested please send me an email at heather371@gmail.com

I look at things differently and I hope my art helps you do the same.

I live in Wisconsin with my husband and three fur kids, two cats and a dog and am thankful for all that I have and what I'm still able to do.
